Hot Stuff!

I have a lot of posting to catch up on, but I have a mess of insurance work I have to get to for now...I had to write this though: Put Emma down for her nap, Bryson's already sleeping, got the mail and was sorting through it when Emma came walking in the room. She said, "Mommy", stuck her tongue out and had a horrified look on her face. Of course, thoughts start rushing through my mind as the questioning starts. I'm looking in her mouth that's wide open with no words to explain, think I see a little red, so I start thinking maybe she bit her tongue. I asked again, "Emma, what is wrong?? What happened?!!". Her response: She sticks her tongue out and the drool starts pouring, so I'm trying to catch it in my hand to prevent the 50th mess of the day still asking what's wrong. Go to the bathroom to rinse my hands and hear the fridge beeping (we have a door alarm that goes off when it's been open longer than 2 min). My mind stops the crazy thoughts, assuming she ingested something from the fridge, and I'm pretty sure there's nothing toxic in there. Off to the kitchen we go, and I find the cayenne pepper open on the floor alongside her milk cup which is pepper all over the top of it as well. Guess milk wasn't enough relief from the heat!! : ) She is so crazy!! I just cracked up, and then she started laughing but being sure I was working on getting her some milk that would taste good. Good medicine for the day...gotta love my crazy girl!! Off to the dreaded paperwork and files!!
